If sacred scripture and tradition teaches us anything it is that God is deeply engaged in the course of human events: We see in the history of Israel and the Catholic Church God’s plan of salvation unfolding and climaxing in Jesus Christ and his bride, the Church and through them both with the Holy Spirit, God continues to work for the salvation of all, but the scandal lies in that He did all for you in particular. Yes, the supreme all Powerful God did it all for you.
Until we take time to discern how the hand of Providence shaped our lives, how can we ever truly appereciate the love God has shown us inspite of ourselves? How He has safeguarded us from all the catastrophes that may have destroyed us. How He has always been present waitng to lead us back on the path of holiness when we have failed. How he has entrusted us with the talents he has given us?
Finding the Gospel of Your Life
The Gospel of the Bible conveying story of God’s love borne out in the mysteries of the Incarnation, Crucifixiation and Resurrection of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ is only the beginning. We see in the past two milleniums the Gospel continuing to be written in the lives of men and women open to God’s love. The best known example of course are the saints, but there are countless others. Are you among them? How will you know unless you take time to recognize how God is playing an active role in your life and the implications that has for how you conduct yourself today and tomorrow. So take out a notepad and chart the course of your life upto this point and recognize God in all blessings in your life and the tragedies He carried you through. No man is an island, nor is self-made.
