Are These The Last Days?

For years our church has taught and utilized fear to convert people, but this Sunday at Mass, the priest spoke well about this topic. We are changing this practice of saying, "turn to God because these are the end of days and you will go to hell!" It wouldn't necessarily be a false statement, but we should convert for the love of God, not fear of hell. The priest gave us the example of a marriage. If the wife is with her husband for fear that he could hurt her, that marriage is failed. But if the wife is with her husband because he is good, he treats her well, and he shows her his love and care, then obviously they will live a happy life together.

With more than six billion people in the world, 32% are followers of Jesus Christ. More than half of these two billion Christians are Catholics (more information). These are huge quantities and they're sometimes hard to imagine. What I am trying to say is that we Catholics make up more than a half of the world's largest religion. But there is a problem here, and that is that the Catholics of today are losing their faith.
