Why It’s Time for You to Live Your Vocation [Podcast #011]

That's vocation, not vacation. Our vocation is our calling, what God's plan is for our lives. It's not as complicated as it sounds. God has a specific plan for each of us and if we want to be the people He has created us to be, we need to live our lives in accord with that plan. This week on the podcast I share three steps for living your vocation.

Three Steps for Living Your Vocation

1. Ask God to Reveal to You Your Vocation

It’s a revolutionary concept, I know! Pray to God. He is the only one who knows your vocation. Ask Him to reveal His plan for you at this specific moment in your life. Then listen. Turn to His Word in Scripture. Trust me, He will speak!

2. Ask God to Equip You to Live Your Vocation

God isn’t going to give you a task that is too much for you to handle. He knows your limits and He knows your potential. He has the extraordinary gift of being able to see us at our best. Trust that His vision of you isn’t out of reach. Allow Him to prepare you to become the best-version-of-yourself.

3. Re-Evaluate God’s Plan for You at Different Stages of Life

God’s plan doesn’t change, but it might be different depending on the stages of your life. That’s why I think it’s important to always evaluate and re-evaluate your vocation. Is what you are doing what God wants you to do? How do you know? Does it bring you joy, peace, happiness, fulfillment? Is it inline with the Mission of the Church?

Want a Better Way to Lead Your Friends and Family to God?

Do you have friends and family members who have left the Church, have turned their backs on God, and want nothing to do with their faith?

I do. And I’m sure you do too. So how do you get this message across to someone who doesn’t want to hear it? How do you share your faith with people in a way that will lead them to life change?
